Health and Wellness

NYS Department of Health requires that a medical form signed and dated by your child’s pediatrician and a copy of his/her immunization card remain updated and filed on site at all times.

Sick-Accident Policy
Please do not bring your child for daycare services if he/she exhibits the following symptoms:
  •  Fever greater than or equal to 100.5°F
  •  Moderate drainage from the mouth, nose, eyes or ears
  •  Pink or red discoloration to the whites of the eye(s)
  •  Skin rashes or bumps
  •  Abdominal pain, vomiting or diarrhea
If your child exhibits any of these symptoms while in daycare we will isolate your child to prevent transmission while making him/her as comfortable as possible. Our staff will call you immediately to have him/her picked up.

If your child has an accident on site our staff will administer first aid such as cleaning, bandaging and icing the injury, fill out an accident report and call his/her parent or guardian. If your child has a serious accident, our staff will first call 911, then the child’s parent or guardian and have the child routed to the hospital ER. In the event the parent or emergency contact can’t be reached, a member of our staff will accompany your child to the hospital ER until contact is made and the parent arrives.

Frequently updating your contact information is vital in the event of an accident or illness.
